This item appears to be a solid wooden pole of only one foot in length.  When the holder activates the item, it espands to a length of eight feet.  It acts like a pole vault allowing the holder to vault over walls and other obstacles, allowing room for a good running start.  If used in combat the Vault can be braced and then activated to propell opponents away, causing 2d4 blugeoning damage, giving a successful attack roll.
